Here’s the latest update on status of the second small batch, additional device refinement before scaling up production, software improvements, and Codie content.

Second Small Batch Shipping Status

The second small shipment batch has arrived at the door steps of roughly another dozen backers. We’re reviewing early-user feedback from the most recent deliveries to keep improving the overall experience.

First Wave of Mobile Beta Testing Underway

We appreciate everyone who eagerly filled out the form in the first hour of being sent. If you completed the form, please check your inbox and spam filters. We might also have reached out to resolve cases where the CODE27 account email differs from your Kickstarter email. Hardware Refinements Improved Durability

We’ve made further improvements to reduce cosmetic and durability risks in humid or harsher conditions.

Improved Speaker Longevity

We’ve improved resilience under extended use to reduce the chance of diaphragm damage over time.

Updated Surface Finish

We’re refining the exterior texture for a smoother feel based on feedback.

Improved Component Fit and Alignment Consistency

Completed mold refinements to improve precision and consistency across structural parts.

Packaging

Completed another revision of packaging for minor cosmetic refinements.

Software Improvements User Interface/User Experience Refinements

Improvements to the main interaction flow, on-screen keyboard experience, and mode switching.

Stability fixes

Resolved multiple issues including freezes, large and small screen display edge cases, and Wi-Fi connection anomalies.

Improved Update System

The system for Over-the-Air (OTA) updates has been reworked and is currently in testing. You will be able to easily update the firmware and software of CODE27.

Multilingual Improvements

Reduced response delay, improved reply quality, and improved multilingual prompt adherence so Codie behavior is more consistent when chatting in different languages.

More Included Codies

We made progress on additional Codies that will come included with the device. Thank you for your continued support and for sharing clear feedback. We’re taking what we learn from real-world use and turning it into practical refinements that improve consistency and polish across the board. We’ll be back in the next biweekly update with more completed progress to share.
